Meeting point St. Wolfgang Schafbergbahn
We meet directly at the Schafbergbahn valley station in St. Wolfgang. There we will welcome you and go through the procedure of your tandem flight together.
For your experience, we deliberately use the first lift of the day to make the most of the calm morning conditions. We will organize the tickets for the ascent for you in advance – these will be paid for in cash directly on site.

Ascent with the historic cog railroad
You then take the historic Schafbergbahn cable car to the summit. The 40-minute ride is already a real highlight and offers you impressive views of Lake Wolfgangsee and the surrounding mountains.
During the ascent, we will explain the region to you, show you the most important mountains and answer all your questions about your upcoming tandem flight.

Start at the Schafberg
Once at the summit, we will go to the launch site together. Your pilot will prepare the equipment and explain the procedure step by step.
After a short briefing, the take-off follows: with a few determined steps, you and your pilot take off and glide from the Schafberg out into the impressive mountain and lake landscape.

Flight over Lake Wolfgangsee
After take-off, an extraordinary panorama opens up before you: we fly over the alpine pastures of the Schafberg towards Lake Wolfgangsee and enjoy an unobstructed view of the entire Salzkammergut.
The flight takes you over the turquoise-blue lake with a view of St. Wolfgang, St. Gilgen and the surrounding mountains. Dynamic flight maneuvers are also possible on request – just the way you like it.

Landing in St. Gilgen
The landing is relaxed on our large landing field in St. Gilgen directly on Lake Wolfgang. It’s very easy for you: lift your legs slightly, stay seated – your pilot will take care of the safe landing.
Afterwards, we will round off the experience in our flight school. You can review your flight over a coffee and – if you like – transfer your photos and videos directly to your smartphone.

Return journey by boat to St. Wolfgang (optional)
For the return journey to St. Wolfgang, the Wolfgangsee boat trip is the perfect way to end the day.
From St. Gilgen, you can take a comfortable boat trip back across the lake and enjoy the landscape from a new perspective.

Weather: Paragliding is highly weather-dependent, especially in alpine terrain, which means decisions sometimes have to be made at short notice.
Decision timing: In uncertain weather conditions, we inform you as soon as reliable forecasts are available. However, decisions often have to be made at short notice.
- Holiday: If you are staying in the area, we recommend scheduling your tandem flight at the beginning of your holiday to remain flexible in case of weather-related changes.
Availability: Please make sure you can be reached by phone at least 48 hours before your scheduled flight, so we can contact you at short notice if necessary.
Schedule changes: Flight times may be rescheduled at short notice due to weather or operational reasons. We will inform you of any changes by phone.
Launch Decision & Cancellation:
The final launch decision can only be made directly at the takeoff site. If a safe launch is not possible, the flight will be cancelled. In this case, we will offer an alternative date or refund the flight price if no alternative date is available. Any costs already incurred, such as transportation or access fees, cannot be refunded.

Afterwards, you can round off the flight with a coffee at the flight school before taking the optional boat back to St. Wolfgang.
Depending on the conditions, the pure flight time is around 20 to 25 minutes.

The best and most stable wind conditions for a safe and relaxed take-off usually prevail on the Schafberg in the early hours of the morning. The air is usually calmer at this time, which is particularly important for a pleasant tandem flight.
In addition, the mountain is much less busy in the morning. This allows us to organize the procedure in a calm atmosphere and enjoy your tandem flight experience without the hustle and bustle.

What is the difference between a tandem flight on the Schafberg and on the Zwölferhorn on Lake Wolfgang?
The Schafberg offers a much more exclusive flying experience with a higher take-off point and spectacular panoramic views over the entire Wolfgangsee.
The Zwölferhorn on the other hand, is our main flying area with much more flexible conditions and more available dates. If you want maximum planning security, the Zwölferhorn is often the better choice – for a particularly extraordinary experience, we recommend the Schafberg.

The price for the tandem flight on the Schafberg is € 239 and includes the flight with an experienced tandem pilot and all the necessary equipment.
In addition, there are costs for the ascent and – optionally – for the return journey:

We will organize the ascent on the historic cog railroad for you in advance to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Payment is made directly on site.

What happens if the weather is not suitable for a tandem flight on the Schafberg?
Due to its altitude and location, the Schafberg is somewhat more susceptible to the weather than our main flying area on the Zwölferhorn. We therefore check the conditions very carefully in advance.
If the weather forecast is unfavorable in advance, we will contact you in good time. In this case, we will either offer you an alternative date or – if possible – switch to the Zwölferhorn, where good flying conditions prevail much more frequently.
Important to know: The final decision as to whether a start is possible can only be made directly on the mountain. Your safety has top priority.
What are the requirements for a tandem flight on the Schafberg - do I have to be sporty and is there a maximum weight limit?
You don’t need any special sporting experience for a tandem flight on the Schafberg. The only important thing is that you can run a few brisk steps at the start so that you can take off safely together with your pilot.
You will always fly with experienced professional tandem pilots who will accompany you throughout the flight and bring you safely back to land.
Due to the starting conditions on the Schafberg, the maximum weight is 95 kg. This limit is important to ensure a safe start.
If you are over this weight, we recommend a tandem flight on the Zwölferhorn in St. Gilgen. With special equipment, we can also safely fly passengers weighing up to 130 kg.
